As a thief in the night
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you in Jesus name, amen. We thank God for His mercy over us and for keeping us thus far in Him. Now, Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica that:
“BUT of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” 1 Thessalonians 5v1-2
How are you living your life? Are you living it with this in mind, that Christ is coming soon. HE will come like a thief in the night. The Bible says:
“And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through.” Luke 12v39
Dearly beloved, please let us keep this in mind, and let us not fall asleep, even as the Word says:
“Accordingly then, let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us keep wide awake (alert, watchful, cautious, and on our guard) and let us be sober (calm, collected, and circumspect).
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.
But we belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate (corslet) of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” 1 Thessalonians 5v6-8 (Amplified Bible)
