Healing Words (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“In the beginning was the Word …” John 1v1 (KJV)

Our God is a Mighty Healer and He wants us to live in health. 3 John 2 (NIV) says “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” Isaiah 53v5 (AMP) lets us know concerning Jesus that “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.” The Word of God lets us know God’s heart and plan concerning our health – He wants us to live in health. We find as well that through the Word of God – God speaking the Word, we ourselves “claiming” the Word of God over our lives and situations, and also praying the Word. Indeed, Psalm 107v20 (KJV) says “He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” while Mark 16v17-18 (KJV) says “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” While Jesus was on earth, He healed the sick, raised the dead, released the oppressed, and we as believers by the power of God are able to do the same. We can pray for our healing and that of others. Even as faith comes by hearing the Word of God, by listening to God’s Word on healing our faith is increased. I have found these two resources which highlight healing scriptures from the Bible.

Prayer

Father we thank You for the provision You have made for health for us. We thank You for Your Word tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, and that “He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Father we thus pray for Your healing hand to be extended to as many as are reading this and may be in need of healing today and heal them. This we pray in Jesus name, amen.
