God the Word
Hello everyone,
How are you doing
on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“In the beginning
[before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God.” John 1v1 (AMP)
In the past few
daily encouragements of this year, we have been looking at the Word of God and
how they are powerful, words of life, healing words, warfare words, words of
instruction, words to keep us from sinning against God and so on. But now we
see that the strength of the Word of God is that the Word is God Himself, in
particular God the Son – and that is why the Word must be obeyed, the Word is
sharp, quick, powerful, instructive, beautiful, creative, and much much more. Indeed
the Word of God is alive and dynamic that is why when you are reading and
meditating on the Word of God, it can begin to speak with you, come back to
mind, grow in you. In fact you might have said once before that two people
having the same scripture interpret it differently. One reason for this is that
though we are all children of the Almighty God, we are uniquely different and
relate differently to the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Indeed John 1v4-5
(TLB) says “Eternal life is in Him, and this life gives light to all mankind.
His life is the light that shines through the darkness – and the darkness can
never extinguish it.” Imagine then that as we meditate more on the Word of God
and chew on it, we are letting the life of God grow on the inside of us.
Prayer
Father we thank
You for Your Word. We thank You because we have the Word of God. Thank You
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thank You for our relationship we have with You
and the life we enjoy from relating with You. This we pray in Jesus name, amen.
