Lord of all
Hello
everyone,
How are
you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“For to us
a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His
shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His
government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and
over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with
righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the
Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9v6-7 (AMPC)
I am
grateful that I serve the living Lord, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord
mighty in battle. The King of kings and the Lord of all lords. The Creator and
Possessor of Heaven and Earth. All power in heaven and on earth belong to Him,
and at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that
Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2v10-11). The nations
will rage and the heathen will try to deny His Lordship, but it is what it is.
God is God, and all power belongs to Him (Psalm 62v11). 1 Corinthians 15 (see
below) lets us know that He has given power to the Lord Jesus Christ who will
bring all power to be subject to Himself. After that our Lord Jesus will hand
it all over to God the Father again. I am thrilled about this, because
regardless of what we see, we know who owns all power and authority. The devil
and demons know this as well, and Revelations 12v12 tells us that the devil
knows that his time is short. A warning is sounded to the kings in Psalm
2v10-12 (NIV) saying “Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you
rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with
fear and celebrate His rule with trembling. Kiss his son, or He
will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for His
wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take
refuge in Him.”
Supplementary Text
“After
that comes the end (the completion), when He delivers over the kingdom to God
the Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every
[other] rule and every authority and power. For [Christ] must be King and reign
until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be
subdued and abolished is death. For He [the Father] has put
all things in subjection under His [Christ’s] feet. But when it says, All
things are put in subjection [under Him], it is evident that He [Himself] is
excepted Who does the subjecting of all things to Him. However,
when everything is subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also subject
Himself to [the Father] Who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in
all [be everything to everyone, supreme, the indwelling and controlling factor
of life].” 1 Corinthians 15v24-28 (AMPC)
Prayer
Our Lord
and our God we honour You. We pledge our allegiance to the Immortal, Invisible,
Only wise God, whose foolishness is wiser than the wisest of men. Lord You are
good, reign in me and in us in Jesus name, amen. Of the increase of Your
government and peace, let there be no end in our lives o God. Let Your Kingdom
come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Be glorified forevermore
O Lord. In Jesus mighty and powerful name we pray, amen.
