The Spirit of Christ
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He
never sinned, but He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He
suffered physical death, but He was raised to life in the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3v18
(NLT)
The Spirit of God, who is the third Person in the
Trinity, played a big role in the life of Jesus, and is key to the life of any
believer. When John the Baptist came, people were wondering, was he the Christ
or not. Luke 3v15-16 (KJV) says “And as the people were in expectation, and all
men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; John
answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but One
mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose:
He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:” When Jesus was about
to begin His ministry, Luke 3v21-22 (KJV) says “Now when all the people were
baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the
heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove
upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art My beloved Son: in
Thee I am well pleased.” John 4v1-2 says “AND JESUS being full of the Holy
Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days He did eat nothing:
and when they were ended, He afterward hungered.” Here we see Jesus being led
by the Spirit of God. Romans 8v9 (AMP) says “But you are not living the life of
the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God
[really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not
possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to
Christ, is not truly a child of God].” Do you have the Spirit of God in you?

And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you
another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of
truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth
Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not
leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14v16-18 (KJV)
