No partiality

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace, His mercy and His love for us. We thank God that He said weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30v5). The Bible tells us that the wisdom that comes from above, is without partiality:

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, ...” James 3v17 (KJV)

The wisdom that comes from above is without partiality. Some synonyms for partiality include – prejudice, preconception, bias. In Acts 10v34, we see the Word of the Lord says:

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:” (KJV)
“Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favouritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear Him and do what is right.” (New Living Translation)

The God we serve is one who shows no favouritism, He has the same standards for those who come to Him, He doesn’t shift around and show partiality towards one group or the other, and we see this even in the wisdom that He gives to us. He leads us to be the same as well. For instance, we see one word of advice given James 2:

“My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others? For example, suppose someone comes into you meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes. If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, “You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor” – well, doesn’t this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives.... Yes indeed, it is good when you obey the royal law as found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbour as yourself. But if you favour some people over others, you are committing a sin. You are guilty of breaking the law.” James 2v1-4, 8-9 (New Living Translation).

So if you are in the habit of being partial, remember God’s wisdom is not. Look through the Scripture with open eyes, to see how God guides us not to be partial in our dealings with others.

Have a very blessed day.
