Vision
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. There is the vision that we refer to which means what we see. There is another which means where we want to go to. There is however another interpretation of vision which means a revelation of who God is. The Bible tells us that when people don’t know who God is, then they perish, even as we see in Proverbs 29v18.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29v18 (KJV)
“Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]—blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.” Proverbs 29v18 (Amplified Bible).
There were times when the children of Israel sinned so much that God allowed them to be dealt with by their enemies. One particular example of people in the Bible who didn’t know God, were the sons of Eli, whom the Bible also refer to as sons of Belial (1 Samuel 2v12). These men sinned greatly before God, having no fear of God in them. With no revelational knowledge of God, you do not know what your life is all about, and you cannot achieve any real purpose. For the most part you end up doing things contrary to what pleases Him. Do you know the Lord? Are you seeking to know Him more, to know what pleases Him and what He doesn’t like? He who keeps the law, happy is he, but without vision, the people perish.
“Where there is no word from God, people are uncontrolled, but those who obey what they have been taught are happy.” Proverbs 29v18 (New Century Version).
Have a very blessed day.
Dearest Heavenly Father,
We thank You so much for Your Word which You have given us this day, showing us how important it is to have vision, to have a redemptive revelation of who You are. We pray O Lord that in any way we have veered from Your way that You will forgive us and bring us back to You in Jesus name, amen. We pray that You will keep us forever from falling and that we may increase in the knowledge of God even daily in Jesus name, amen. We thank You for the power You have given us to be Your witnesses. May we not frustrate Your grace upon our lives in Jesus name, amen. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Jesus name we pray, amen.
