His Presence (3)
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for all that He is to us. We thank Him for His presence, and that we are not
alone. The Bible tells us that:
Primary
Text: Judges 6v11-16
“The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said,
“Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!” “Sir,” Gideon replied, “if the LORD is
with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our
ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say, ‘The LORD brought us up out of
Egypt’? But now the LORD has abandoned us and handed us over to the
Midianites.” Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you
have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” “But Lord,”
Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole
tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” The LORD said to
him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were
fighting against one man.” Judges 6v12-16 (NLT)
Gideon asked a question - how can I rescue Israel?
Gideon put forth his reasons – my clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of
Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family! It reminds me of Mary also
asking – “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” (Luke 1v34) “And the
angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the
power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing
which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy
cousin Elizabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the
sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be
impossible” (Luke 1v35-37). Perhaps, today you are asking, how can I? How can I
do this, or that, given this and that. Be at peace, child of God. God is with
you. His Spirit is in you and with you. On our own, we can do nothing, but we
can do all things through Christ who strengthens us – amen (Philippians 4v13).

“For [simply] consider your own call, brethren; not
many [of you were considered to be] wise according to human estimates and
standards, not many influential and powerful, not many of high and noble birth.
[No] for God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put
the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame.
And God also selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and
insignificant and branded and treated with contempt, even the things that are
nothing, that He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are, So that
no mortal man should [have pretense for glorying and] boast in the presence in
God.” 1 Corinthians 1v26-29 (AMP)
Prayer
Father we thank You so much for this day.
We thank You because of Your faithfulness. We thank You because we do not have
to go on our own strength, but that You are with us. Thank You for Your Holy
Spirit in us and dwelling with us. Thank You Lord because in You we live, and
move, and have our being. Hallowed be Your holy name forevermore, in Jesus
mighty name we pray, amen.
