I will call

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. God is indeed great and greatly to be praised. And we thank Him for the incredible access He gives to us to come to Him, and to call on Him. Now, what do you do when you are in trouble? Who do you turn to?

Primary Text
“I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” Psalm 18v3 (KJV)

“I called on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and He saved me from my enemies.” Psalm 18v3 (NLT)

“I sing to GOD, the Praise-Lofty, and find myself safe and saved.” Psalm 18v3 (MSG)

Now, it is not that God does not use others to help us, in one way or the other, and He may direct certain people to help us, but our trust, our dependence, should be on the Lord. For instance, God told Ananias to go to meet Saul of Tarsus, and when Ananias put his hands on him, he received his sight (Acts 9v10-18). Esther was the one who went before the king when the Jews were to be killed. But God was directing all these affairs, and He was their guide and Lord. The salvation of the righteous is of the Lord. Remember, that the enemies we fight are not flesh and blood (see Ephesians 6).

Supplementary Texts
“But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.” Psalm 37v39-40 (KJV)

“And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4v23-31 (KJV)
“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6v10-12 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, we thank You because we can call on You in every and all situations in Jesus name, amen. (Now, if there is something bothering you, why don’t you call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so shall you be saved from all your enemies).
