His Presence (4)
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Happy New
month. I pray this month is blessed for you and yours in Jesus name, amen. As
believers, we have the Holy Spirit of God, the third Person in the Trinity to
dwell with us and be in us (John 14v17). We also know that if a man loves the
Lord Jesus, he will keep his words, and the Father will love him, and they will
come unto him, and make their abode with him (John 14v23). Isn’t that amazing
to have God with us, and the Word tells us that in the presence of God there is
fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures evermore (Psalm 16v11). Now,
the Lord Jesus told His disciples that:

“And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon
you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from
on high.” Luke 24v49 (KJV)
The Holy Spirit in the life of a believer is very
important. In fact if you do not have the Spirit of Christ, you are none of His
(Romans 8v9). Jesus, when He was baptized, had the Holy Ghost descend upon Him
as a dove (Luke 3v22), afterwards, He was led by the Spirit to be tempted by
the devil (Matthew 4v1). Again, we see how Jesus spoke of how “The Spirit of
the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the
poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are
bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4v18-19). We receive
power, and are endued with power by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit marks us
as being one of Christ’s, and leads us and helps us to live overcoming lives as
believers (Romans 8v13). The wonderful thing is that God gives His Spirit to
those who ask Him (Luke 11v13).
Supplementary Text:
“So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it
shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep
on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and
keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to
him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. What father
among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he
asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Or if he asks for
an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to
give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children, how much
more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and
continue to ask Him!” Luke 11v9-13 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word, for
Your plans, and for Your Spirit. Father, we ask for a fresh anointing of Your
Spirit. We ask for more of Your Spirit. We yield to Your Spirit. Have Your way
in our lives, and glorify Yourself in our lives, in Jesus name, amen.
