God is with you (2)

Dearly beloved. I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. Even in the face of adversity, God is with you - don’t fear. 2 Kings 6:14-17 (NIV) narrates the incidence of when the King of Syria wanted to capture Elisha - “Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city. When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

In the New Testament, we are encouraged from 1 John 4:4 (AMPC) which says “ Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.” Child of God, fear not, God is with you. Lord, open our eyes to see and understand that You are with us always and greater than any force or enemy we might encounter in Jesus name, amen.
