A willing sacrifice (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“And the Lord said to Moses, Speak to the Israelites, that they take for Me an offering. From every man who gives it willingly and ungrudgingly with his heart you shall take My offering.” Exodus 25v1-2 (AMP)

One of the greatest offerings we can give willingly to the Lord is ourselves; though as believers, we really are not our own but the Lord’s. 1 Corinthians 6v19-20 (AMP) saying “Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.” So we belong to the Lord and we should glorify Him with our bodies. Romans 12v1-2 (NLT) says “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Are you a subject to the will of God? Have you given yourself entirely to Him and to His will to be used by Him? The church in Macedonia did that:

Supplementary Text
“Now I want to tell you what God in His grace has done for the churches in Macedonia. Though they have been going through much trouble and hard times, they have mixed their wonderful joy with their deep poverty, and the result has been an overflow of giving to others. They gave not only what they could afford but far more; and I can testify that they did it because they wanted to and not because of nagging on my part. They begged us to take the money so they could share in the joy of helping the Christians in Jerusalem. Best of all, they went beyond our highest hopes, for their first action was to dedicate themselves to the Lord and to us, for whatever directions God might give to them through us.” 2 Corinthians 8v1-5 (TLB)

Prayer

Father, I thank You for Your Word. I pray for the grace to give and to be a partaker of the joy of giving of myself to You, Your work and others in Jesus name, amen.
