Fruitful
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Psalm 1v1-4 says “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doeth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
The Bible here makes a link between being grounded and rooted in the Word of God, and being fruitful. Indeed, for the man who meditates in the Word of God, he is most likely going to have his mindset changed and his life directed according to the leading of God’s Word. Regardless of whatever seasons life presents itself, he will be fruitful. Joshua 1v8 (Amplified Version) is also explicit in saying “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.”
The Lord Jesus in John 15 tells us of this same truth, saying “If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine” (v7-8, Amplified Version). Child of God, let us stay united with the Lord, who is also called the Word. Let us have the Word of God dwell deeply within us, following and hearkening to all that He says. Indeed, without Him we can do nothing (John 15v5).
Prayer
Our Father and our God, we thank You so much for Your Word. Thank You for Your love. We ask that we will stay united and dwelling in Christ, that we will put on Christ, and stay in and obedient to His Word. We thank You for then we shall flourish and be like trees planted by the rivers of water which brings forth fruit in its season. Thank You so much o God. If we have moved from You or moved from Your Word, we draw near again today in Jesus name, amen.
