Strong in Faith
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day?
I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Our God is the One who can be trusted.
Numbers 23v19 (Amplified Version) says “God is not a man, that He should
tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction
[for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He
spoken and shall He not make it good?”
Abraham is often referred to as
the father of faith. Genesis 15v6 says Abraham believed God and it was credited
to him for righteousness.” Abraham had to wait on the Lord for an incredibly
long time, before he and Sarah his wife had a child. When God called Abraham,
he was 75, and he didn’t have a child. When God revealed Himself to him, he
waited 25 more years before he had Isaac. Romans 4v20-22 (Amplified Version)
gives us some insight into how Abraham’s attitude: “No
unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning
the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as
he gave praise and glory to God, Fully satisfied and assured
that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do
what He had promised. That is why his faith was credited to him as
righteousness (right standing with God).”
Abraham was empowered by faith
as he gave praise and glory to God. Child of God, what is it that you are
waiting on the Lord for? Take time out to give Him praise and glory for it,
because He is more than able to do what He said He would do. Stop complaining,
grumbling, fretting and being anxious. Instead, start praising and rejoicing;
afterall you do believe that God can do it, right? The Living Bible of Romans
4v20 says “But Abraham never doubted. He believed God, for his faith and trust
grew ever stronger, and he praised God for this blessing even before it
happened. “ Indeed Abraham was “… was completely sure that God was well
able to do anything he promised” (Romans 4v21, KJV).
