Keep the Faith
Dearly Beloved. I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God His Word. Paul wrote to the Philippians in Philippians 2v14-16 (AMPC) that “Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves], That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world, Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that I did not run my race in vain or spend my labor to no purpose.” Philippians 2:14-16 AMPC.
In a sense, we are being exhorted here to remain believers -
to hold onto God, not doubting or fault-finding; to keep the faith and continue
to shine as lights in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation; to hold
onto the word of life which is truth and would guide you in the way of the
Lord. With all these being done, we will be and remain in the Lord. Hallelujah.
Those who have laboured over us, like Paul did over the Philippians would be
able to rejoice at the end, that their labour wasn’t in vain. We too will
rejoice that we were not castaways. Child of God, keep the faith, remain in God, and remain in His Word.
Prayer
From Hebrews 13v20-21 (AMPC) I pray: “Now may the God of
peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among
the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that
sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament), Strengthen (complete,
perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip
you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself]
works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His
sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and
ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it)” in Jesus name, amen.
