Building Stones
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“For [of course] every house is built and
furnished by someone, but the Builder of all things and the Furnisher [of the
entire equipment of all things] is God.” Hebrews 3v4 (AMP)
Not only can God be the Builder of all that
pertains to us, we are also the living stones He is using in building His
house.” 1 Corinthians 3v9 (KJV) says “For we are labourers together with God:
ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building” while 1 Peter 2v5 (TLB)
highlights that “And now you have become living building-stones for God’s use
in building His house. What’s more, you are His holy priests; so come to Him –
you who are acceptable to Him because of Jesus Christ – and offer to God those
things that please Him.” I wondered why God was building a house? But we find
that we are the temple of God, an abode for Him to dwell in. 1 Corinthians 6v19
(KJV) saying “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost
which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” How amazing …
and this habitation of God is continually growing as more people are added to
the body of Christ.
Supplementary Text
“Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles,
migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share
citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for
Himself); and you belong to God’s [own] household. You are built upon the
foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief
Cornerstone. In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, wielded) together
harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in
the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the
Lord]. In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are
being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode
(dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.” Ephesians 2v19-22 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, thank You
so much for making me a living stone, building me up as part of the abode for
You to dwell. May I always be a vessel unto honour in Jesus name, amen.
