Surely there is an end!
Hello everyone,
How are you
doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Better is the
end of a thing than the beginning thereof: … ” Ecclesiastes 7v8 (KJV)
It
is once again a big encouragement to know that the end of a thing is better
than the beginning. The Bible gives great encouragement to this end with such
verses as: “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly
increase” (Job 8v7); “For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward],
and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off” (Proverbs 23v18, AMP), and “For
the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not
lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not
tarry” (Habakkuk 2v3, KJV). Knowing there is an end helps us to patiently wait
for the fulfillment of God’s promises for our lives. The Christian walk is one
of faith, and patience, sometimes lined with periods of waiting. Hebrews 6v12 (TLB) says “Then, knowing what lies ahead for you, you
won’t become bored with being a Christian nor become spiritually dull and
indifferent, but you will be anxious to follow the example of those who receive
all that God has promised them because of their strong faith and patience.” Knowing that we are in a process, helps us to
stay focused. Isaiah 64v4 (KJV) tells us “For since the beginning of the world
men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God,
beside Thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him.” Beloved, hold
on – there is an end. Hold on to your expectation.

“For I know the
thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of
evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29v11 (KJV)
Prayer
