Rejoice!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord – seriously! Do you know that joy is a weapon! It can be
used as an offensive and defensive weapon.
Primary Text
“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the
fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is
prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy
of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8v10 (KJV)
Joy strengthens you; helping you to maintain a
bright outlook regardless of the situation that you are going through. Proverbs
15v15 (AMP) says “All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil
[by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a
continual feast [regardless of circumstances].” Beloved, “Rejoice in the Lord
always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!” – be full
of joy in Him. Different circumstances might come about, but don’t let them
steal your joy; don’t let them get you down and depressed and sorrowful.
Proverbs 17v22 (AMP) tells us that “A happy heart is good medicine and a
cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.” Let your
heart be happy, determine to be cheerful, though circumstances want to weigh
you down, delight yourself in the Lord. Psalm 40v16 (NIV) says “But may all who
seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who long for Your saving help
always say, “The LORD is great!””
Supplementary Text
“Rejoice in the Lord, you [consistently]
righteous (upright and in right standing with God), and give thanks at the
remembrance of His holiness.” Psalm 97v12 (AMP)
Prayer
O Lord our God, how excellent is Your name in all
the earth. How we love and adore You. We delight ourselves in You Most High
God. Only You are worthy, only You are wonderful. Thank You for everything O
God, in Jesus name, amen.
