17 March 2014: The Word of the Lord

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: for Thou hast magnified Thy word above all Thy name.” Hebrews 11v3 (KJV)

God magnifies His Word, and His Word is reliable. If God says something, believe it. Numbers 23v19 (NLT) says “God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?” He is dependable. Isaiah 55v10-11 (AMP) tell us that “For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and prosper, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” God’s Word is powerful, effective, and comes to pass. Sometimes His timeline may not align with ours, but He is true, wait for Him. In the life of Abraham and Sarah, God kept His Word and gave them a child. Genesis 21v1 (KJV) saying “And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as He had spoken.” Have you received a Word from the Lord? Remember: “… Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe and remain steadfast to His prophets and you shall prosper.” 2 Chronicles 20v20 (TLB).

Prayer

Father, I thank You for Your Word. I thank You because Thy Word is truth. God You are faithful and true and I believe in You and in Your Word.
