For such a time as this
Hello everyone,
How are you
doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His
goodness, faithfulness, and loving kindness.
Primary Text
“For we are His
workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before
ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2v10 (KJV)
“It is God
Himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus;
and long ages ago He planned that we should spend these lives in helping
others.” Ephesians 2v10 (TLB)
God has work
that He has laid out for you to do. Yet, it is possible to go through life
selfishly without being a blessing to anyone; to be successful but live a life
of insignificance. But God would have us do good things. Of our Lord Jesus it
was written “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with
power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the
devil; for God was with Him.” The seed of God is on the inside of you, and His
Spirit is in you. The One who created you has good works for you to do. Will
you accept this mandate? Will you seek His face to know what He will have you
do? For Esther, she did good by deciding to speak to the king about the plight
of the Israelites. What is that work the Lord has asked you to do?
Supplementary Text
“he sent back
this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone
of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and
deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s
family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position
for such a time as this?” Esther 4v13-14 (NIV).
Prayer
My Father and my
God, I thank You for making me for a purpose. Father, those good works which
You before ordained that I should do, please reveal them to me this day and
help me to do so in Jesus name, amen.
