Christ has come - what are you doing with this knowledge?
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and
come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto
her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands;
and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. The
woman saith unto Him, Sir, I perceive that Thou art a prophet. Our fathers
worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where
men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe Me, the hour cometh,
when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the
Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is
of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall
worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to
worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in
spirit and in truth. The woman saith unto Him, I know that Messias cometh,
which is called Christ: when He is come, He will tell us all things. Jesus
saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am He.” John 4v16-23 (KJV)
Jesus knew this woman, her past, her present, her
issue, and He came to her, spoke with her and answered her questions. Beloved,
God knows you, what you are going through, and He loves you and wants a
relationship with you. Despite the kind of life the woman was living, she still
had a cognizance of God and the things of God. She questioned Jesus about
worship. After Jesus explained things to her, she mentioned, the Messias is
coming, He will tell us all things. Beloved, Jesus has come, He has spoken, and
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14v6). What are you doing with the
knowledge of Him? Have you accepted the truth of who He is, repented and followed
Him, or still questioning?
Supplementary Text
“But the
salvation that comes through faith says, “You don’t need to search the heavens
to find Christ and bring him down to help you,” and, “You don’t need to go
among the dead to bring Christ back to life again.” For salvation that comes
from trusting Christ—which is what we preach—is already within easy reach of
each of us; in fact, it is as near as our own hearts and mouths. For if you
tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in
your own heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10v6-9 (TLB)
