Salvation from every enemy!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be
saved from mine enemies.” Psalm 18v3 (KJV)
Our God is great
and greatly to be praised. When we are faced with troubles and adversaries, we
can call upon Him and we are delivered. 1 Samuel 2v9 (AMP) says “He will guard
the feet of His godly ones, but the wicked shall be silenced and perish in
darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.” As believers, we face
adversarial situations, but God is our Helper. David faced Goliath, and was
constantly being pursued by Saul. Daniel was antagonized by other leaders who
schemed up to the point that he was thrown in the lions’ den. Haman made
himself the enemy of Mordecai and the Jews. But regardless of the type of
problem or the size of the enemy, God is able to deliver us. Indeed His eyes
are running to and fro “to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts
are blameless toward Him…” 2 Chronicles 16v9 (AMP).
Supplementary Text
“In the evening
the men came again to the king and said, “Your Majesty, there is nothing you
can do. You signed the law, and it cannot be changed. So at last the king gave
the order for Daniel’s arrest, and he was taken to the den of lions. The king
said to him, “May your God, whom you worship continually, deliver you.” And
then they threw him in. A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the
den; and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with that of his
government, so that no one could rescue Daniel from the lions…. Very early the
next morning he hurried out to the lions’ den and called out in anguish, “O
Daniel, servant of the Living God, was your God, whom you worship continually,
able to deliver you from the lions? Then he heard a voice! “Your Majesty, live
forever!” It was Daniel!” Daniel 6v15-17, 19-21
Prayer
Lord God
Almighty, I call upon You today, You who are worthy of praise and ask that You
will deliver me from all my enemies in Jesus name, amen.
