Worthy to be Praised
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: …” Psalm 18v2
(KJV)
The Lord our God
is mighty, and He is worthy to be praised. 1 Chronicles 16v25 (NLT) says “Great
is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods.” Praise
is an “expression of admiration” and its synonyms include commend, extol,
honour, eulogize, congratulate, pay tribute to, go into raptures over, applaud,
and acclaim. If we even take each of these synonyms we can say: He can be
commended for His faithfulness; extolled for His greatness; honoured for being
our God, Father and King; eulogized because of His wonderful acts and creation;
congratulated on all His accomplishments, never ever failing in anything He
does; paid tribute to for being the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the
Prince of peace and King of glory; we can go into raptures over the extent and
depth of His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; applauded over His plans and
purposes; and acclaimed for His majesty. Indeed, our God is worthy to be
praised, And “… He is God, the One who rules over everything and is worthy of
eternal praise! Amen.” (Romans 9v5, NLT).
Supplementary Text
“And
I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the
beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten
thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the
Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and
honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on
the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in
them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him
that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” Revelations
12-14 (KJV)
Prayer
Lord
God Almighty, we honour and extol You. We give You all our praise. Thank You
for all that You are to us, in Jesus name, amen.
