Being Distinguished!
Dearly beloved,
Happy New Year. We thank God for bringing us into a new year, and a new decade. Blessed be His holy name in Jesus name, amen. I hope you are well and bubbling in the Lord. May this year be one of unlimited joy, breakthroughs, and overcoming impossibilities in the power of His name in Jesus name, amen.
Primary Text: Malachi 3:14-18
“Your words have been stout against Me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against Thee? Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name. And they shall be Mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.” Malachi 3v14-18 (KJV)
“You have said, It is useless to serve God, and what profit is it if we keep His ordinances and walk gloomily and as if in mourning apparel before the Lord of hosts? And now we consider the proud and arrogant to be happy and favored; evildoers are exalted and prosper; yes, and when they test God, they escape [unpunished]. Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name. And they shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him. Then shall you return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who does not serve Him.” Malachi 3v14-18 (AMP)
This year, continue to serve the Lord as you have in the past. Don’t become disillusioned and call evil good. Serve the Lord, love Him, fix your eyes on Him, seek to please Him, and may you be among those distinguished as His special possession and peculiar treasure.
Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank You so much for this year 2011. We thank You for Your mercy, grace, protection, provision, guidance, leading, health, and benefits in 2010 and all the days we have lived thus far. Indeed You have been good to us and we love and appreciate You. This year O God, we commit our spirit, soul, and body into Your hands. We pray that You will see us through it. We pray that You will keep us from falling. We pray that we will all remain Your special possessions and peculiar treasures in the name of Jesus. We pray that You will work that which is well pleasing in Your eyes in our lives, and that Your name alone will be glorified in all that we do in Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.
