Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His rest, and His Word, and His wisdom. I am told that there are 3 words/phrases that my grandfather gave my parents when they were about to get married to put into practice – “Please”, “thank you”, and “Sorry”. They are simple words and gestures, but they go a loooooong way. They denote appreciation, respect, and acknowledgment. They can also be practiced with our relationships with others.

Primary Text: Proverbs 15:1
“A SOFT answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” Proverbs 15v1

Be careful how you answer people. Show appreciation both to God and to others. Be courteous.

Supplementary Texts:
“Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up His eyes, and said, Father, I thank Thee that Thou hast heard Me. And I knew that Thou hearest Me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that Thou hast sent Me.” John 11v41-42

“And as He entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, He said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And He said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” Luke 17v12-19

“A gentle tongue [with its healing power] is a tree of life, but willful contrariness in it breaks down the spirit.” Proverbs 15v4 (AMP)

“When you talk, do not say harmful things, but say what people need – words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will do good to those who listen to you.” Ephesians 2v29 (New Century Version)

“Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. For man’s anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires].” James 1v19-20 (AMP)

Prayer
Dear Lord, we thank You so much for Your Word this day. We ask for the grace to be courteous, to show appreciation, and to walk in love in Jesus name, amen. Father, put Your words on my lips, and let me be a blessing to all those I come across in Jesus name, amen. Thank You for all You are to us and for all You do for us, in Jesus name, amen.
