Remember!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His mercies, His faithfulness, and how longsuffering He is. So what do you do if you have the appearance of living, but are dead?

Primary Text:
“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith He that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things that remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” Revelations 3v1-3 (KJV)

“AND TO the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Sardis write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God [the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but [in reality] you are dead. Rouse yourselves and keep awake, and strengthen and invigorate what remains and is on the point of dying; for I have not found a thing that you have done [any work of yours] meeting the requirements of My God or perfect in His sight. So call to mind the lessons you received and heard; continually lay them to heart and obey them, and repent. In case you will not rouse yourselves and keep awake and watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know or suspect at what hour I will come.” Revelations 3v1-3 (AMP)

Go back to the lessons you have learned. Go back to the Word of God. Rouse yourself. Obey the lessons you once heard. Don’t procrastinate coming back to God. If you have been slacking off, or been luke warm, or been having the appearance of being alive, but are dead, now is the time to seek the Lord and come back. Remember how quick David was to repent when he was confronted about his sin of adultery with Bathsheba and murdering Uriah.

Supplementary Texts
“Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake His way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55v6-7

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” 1 Thessalonians 4v1-8

Prayer
Father today, I thank You for Your Word. I repent of being double minded and not following You completely. Today I come back to You. Keep me in You forever in Jesus name, amen.
