More of Your Spirit

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His great love for us. We thank Him because we are not left as orphans in this world, but as many as are children of God, we have been given His Spirit to be with us and in us. The Holy Spirit is so so so so important in the life of the believer. We cannot do any work without Him. Even the disciples were asked to wait until they received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers the believer to do work, He leads us, teaches us, and affirms that we are children of God.

Primary Text: Acts 1:4, 5, & 8
“And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence…. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1v4, 5, 8 (KJV)

Supplementary Texts
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever – The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you… But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf]. He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.” John 14v16-18, & 26 (AMP).

“THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.” Romans 8v1 (AMP)

“Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when He adopted you as His own children. Now we call Him, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8v12-15 (NLT)

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?” Luke 11v13

Prayer
