Hmmm…. Sweet aroma!!!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1 Peter 3v15 (KJV)

2 Corinthians 2v14-16 (KJV) says “But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.” Hallelujah, as a child of God, we are an instrument in the hands of God. This instrument is likened to a pleasing aroma whereby God uses us to let others – both saved and unsaved – know about Him. Have you ever seen another believer and you felt happy, or another believer sees you and they are gladdened? You have the aroma of Christ. On the other hand, others who do not know the Lord, are also getting this aroma. That’s why regardless of what you are going through, you just never know who is watching and who will come to accept the Lord because of it. Remember Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and Daniel, through their trials, God’s name was glorified (See Daniel 3 and Daniel 6). The same way, 1 Peter 3v14 has told us that even if you suffer for doing right, you are blessed. And verse 15 encourages us to worship Christ as Lord of our lives. Continue following the Lord, and when someone comes to ask you – why do you believe the way you do? Speak to them about it, with courtesy and respect, and may the Lord bring an increase to every seed you plant, and every plant you water (1 Corinthians 3v6-7) in Jesus name, amen.

Supplementary Text
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5v17-20 (NIV)

Father, we worship and adore You. Thank You for leading us as captives in Christ’s triumphant procession and for making us a pleasant aroma of Christ. We worship and bless Your holy name for this, in Jesus name, amen.
