The Spirit of Christ (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but He was raised to life in the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3v18 (NLT)

Once you are a child of God, who has received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you have the Holy Spirit of God in you. One mark of a believer, is the Holy Spirit of God with you and in you. Hallelujah. John 14v16-18 (KJV) says “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” In fact, Jesus told His disciples that it was expedient for Him to go, for if He did not go, the Spirit of God will not come. John 16v7 (AMP) telling us that “However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].” Are you fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit? You might say that how do I know for a certainty that I have the Spirit of God. Well, because the Word of God tells us that we have the Spirit of God. And also, like we have been saved through faith, through our believing in Jesus and what He has accomplished on the Cross, we receive the Spirit by faith. Galatians 3v14 (NIV) says “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.” Hallelujah!!!

Supplementary Text
“He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7v38-39 (KJV)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for today. We thank You for Christ dying for us, and Your Holy Spirit who is even with us and in us. Thank You Father in Jesus name we pray, amen.
