A blessed work

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain and chief executioner of the [royal] guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand. So Joseph pleased [Potiphar] and found favor in his sight, and he served him. And [his master] made him supervisor over his house and he put all that he had in his charge. From the time that he made him supervisor in his house and over all that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the Lord’s blessing was on all that he had in the house and in the field.” Genesis 39v1-5 (AMP)

God can bless and prosper the work of your hands so much that it will be recognized. He can distinguish you among your peers, colleagues, and even those who should actually know more than you, as we see in the case of Joseph and even Daniel. We find that even in adverse work situations, the presence of God with you can distinguish you and make you successful and prosperous. Joseph was a slave in Potiphar’s house, sold into slavery, yet God was with him. God can make you stand out that even those who do not have a relationship with Him will acknowledge His presence with you, and His hand in bringing about success and flourishing. We see as well though that Joseph served His master. Because of a child of God, God can bring success to a work place, as we see in the case of Joseph. Child of God, you might be striving to succeed, and the Word tells us that diligence would bring us before kings; but without the Lord we can do nothing. John 15v5 (AMP) says “I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.” In all your work dear one, always seek and covet the presence of the Lord.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your Word. We thank You for Your presence. Father, please let Your presence be with me always. Distinguish me and cause me to flourish, succeed, excel and prosper in all of my endeavours. I lift up every work that I have been given to do and my place of work, Father bless them, and let those who do not know You come to know You because of Your presence with me in Jesus name, amen.
