Faith - One crucial element to answered prayers

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“I love the Lord because he hears my prayers and answers them. Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!” Psalm 116v1-2 (TLB)

We thank God for He is indeed a God who hears our prayers and answers them. But there is one crucial element to getting prayers answered, and that is faith. Hebrews 11v1 (AMP) says “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” Mark 11v22-24 (KJV) show the profound truth of the nature of prayer and believing God: “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” The question then is when you pray, do you indeed believe God has heard you? Do you believe that He has answered you? Or are you just praying for the sake of praying? Beloved, Hebrews 11v6 (TLB) says “You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that He rewards those who sincerely look for him.” Let us pray with the knowledge that God is there and He is hearing us and He answers our prayers.

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word. We thank You for You are a God who sees and answers. Father, please forgive our doubts and unbelief. We pray for the grace to always pray with faith, believing that You have heard us and knowing by faith that because we have prayed according to Your Will, You hear us and we have those things that we have asked of You. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore, in Jesus name, amen.
