Committing our cares to Him
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope
well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary
Text
“Commit your way to the Lord [roll and
repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be
confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” Psalm 37v5 (AMP)
“Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing
the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the
[consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).” Psalm
55v22 (AMP)
“Casting the whole of your care [all
your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him,
for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” 1 Peter
5v7 (AMP)
The verses above tell us a few things
about releasing our cares and committing our way to the Lord. First is that if
you give God your way, acknowledge Him and depend on Him, He will bring it to
pass. He will guide you in the way that you should take. The Living Bible puts
it this way “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it,
and He will” (Psalm 37v5). Next we see that when you give God the weight of
your burden, He will sustain you. He will not let you slip, fail or fall,
hallelujah. The Easy to Read version puts it this way “Give your worries to the
LORD, and He will care for you. He will never let those who are good to be
defeated” (Psalm 55v22). Finally, we see in 1 Peter 5v7 that one reason God
wants you to give Him your cares and burdens is that He cares for you. He
really does care for you.
Prayer
Why don’t you talk over plans, commitments,
and your life with the Lord, committing your way to Him and rolling your
burdens to Him.
