Jesus Understands
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in
the Lord. Jesus wants to help you, with every care, every burden, every
temptation.
Primary Text
“Inasmuch
then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed
through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of
faith in Him]. For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and
sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and
liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every
respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently
and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited
favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find
grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed
help, coming just when we need it].” Hebrews 4v14-16 (AMP)
The Bible asks a question in Rom 8v34 (KJV) that “Who is he
that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who
is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” What a
wonderful High Priest we have. Are you going through some trial or temptation,
and having a difficult time? Run to Jesus. We have been asked to come boldly
before God’s throne of grace, where we can obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of need, for we have Jesus as our High Priest, and He understands our
weaknesses. You don’t have to be macho – ask God for help. You don’t have to
say, but I asked yesterday. No! Hebrews 2v17-18 (NLT) says “Therefore, it was
necessary for Him to be made in every respect like us, His brothers and
sisters, so that He could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God.
Then He could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.
Since He Himself has gone through suffering and testing, He is able to help us
when we are being tested.” We know that “The name of the Lord is a strong
tower, that the righteous run into and they are safe.” The Lord has said “Come
unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take
My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye
shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light”
(Matthew 11v28-31, KJV). Won’t you go to God with all the cares and anxieties
and worries you are going through? Jesus loves you and He cares.
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for Your Word and thank You for what a wonderful High Priest we
have in Jesus. Do you have any cares, why don’t you take it to the Lord today.
