Prayer - my default
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope
well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians
5v17 (KJV)
“Always keep on praying.” 1
Thessalonians 5v17 (TLB)
“Be unceasing in prayer [praying
perseveringly];” 1 Thessalonians 5v17 (AMP)
What an encouragement this is.
Beloved, we are encouraged to pray continually, without ceasing, not getting weary
in the place of prayer. Prayer is communicating with God. Never ever ever be
tired of bringing God into the situation. It doesn’t matter what you see or do
not see, honour God through your prayers. We need to let prayer become our
default – being ever ready to invite God into our situations. Indeed Proverbs
3v5-6 (AMP) says “Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not
rely on your own insight or
understanding. In all your ways know and
acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and
smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].” The Living Bible put it this
way “If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good
judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust
yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown
your efforts with success.” Let us learn to put God first, to consider Him
first, to seek the glory of His name first – in all we do.
Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word.
Please grant me the grace to make You my chief priority, let prayer be my
default regardless of what or where I am in Jesus name, amen.
Thanks for sharing sis.
ReplyDeleteIt's easy for life to get busy and we find ourselves spending less time in the place of prayer...But all glory to God who has given us a 'way of escape' by instructing us to always “Pray without ceasing.”
I pray for the grace to make prayer my default and learn to pray through the day (the way you always do)
God bless you sis!
