Blessed are the pure in heart (2)

Hello everybody,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous—possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!” Matthew 5v8 (AMP)

Hallelujah. The dictionary defines pure as: free from anything of a different, inferior, or contaminating kind; free from extraneous matter: pure gold, pure water. The Bible here says that anyone who is pure in their heart, is blessed. Those with pure hearts are those who have undivided loyalty to God. 1 Timothy 1v5 (New Living Translation) says “The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a genuine faith.” The purpose of this instruction among other things is that believers would love from a pure heart, that is a heart which in this sense is totally sold out to God. Now having a pure heart does not mean that issues would not arise, or that one’s faith would not be tested, but it is remaining steadfast in one’s loyalty and faithfulness to God and His ways even in the midst of these tough times. 2 Timothy 2v22 (New Living Translation) says “Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” Keeping companionship with those with pure hearts, is keeping companionship with someone who you know loves God in a manner which is uncontaminated and longs to follow Him. Remember that adultery starts with little things – being discontent with one’s spouse, or being attracted to someone else, and then by taking of certain steps, adultery happens. Spiritual adultery, which leads to an impure heart is the same way. Begins with being unexcited about the things of God…. or perhaps being more attracted to the things of the world.

Prayer
Why don’t you ask God to purify your hearts from things that want to pull you away from Him in Jesus name, amen. And if you find yourself getting discontented with things of the Kingdom, why not ask as well that He restores unto you the joy of His salvation in Jesus name, amen.
Also if you know that you have been wavering between God and the world, why don’t you ask Him to purify your hearts now and ask for the grace to remain faithful and loyal to Him till the end, in Jesus name, amen.
