Spiritual Blessings (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!” Ephesians 1v3 (AMP)

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” Ephesians 1v3 (NLT)

Spiritual blessings that we also receive from God our Father include the gifts of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12v1-11 (NIV) says “Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He distributes them to each one, just as He determines.” From this passage of Scripture, we find that the Lord will not have us be ignorant of the spiritual gifts that are available to us, and distributed to us by the Spirit of God. Later in the chapter we are told that we are members of one body, and that each part of the body is important. We are also told in verse 31 “But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all – love].” (AMP). Love as well is a fruit of the Spirit of God.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for blessing us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Why not ask God for the gifts that you want as He has asked that we earnestly covet them.
