Spiritual Blessings (3)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!” Ephesians 1v3 (AMP)

1 Corinthians 12v31 (AMP) says “But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all – love].” The ability to love is a spiritual gift, it is of God and divinely given. It is a mark of true believers who are walking, living, controlled by and have the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Indeed, it is not easy to be patient, kind, not rude, or get irritated with others … especially if they are getting on your nerves… all the time. But one sure way of knowing someone who knows the Lord is the love they have for the brethren. As believers, the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts and we are able to walk in love towards the brethren. 1 John 2v9-11 (AMP) says “Whoever says he is in the Light and [yet] hates his brother [Christian, born-again child of God his Father] is in darkness even until now. Whoever loves his brother [believer] abides (lives) in the Light, and in It or in him there is no occasion for stumbling or cause for error or sin. But he who hates (detests, despises) his brother [in Christ] is in darkness and walking (living) in the dark; he is straying and does not perceive or know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.” 1 John 3v14-15 (TLB) further says “If we love other Christians, it proves that we have been delivered from hell and given eternal life. But a person who doesn’t have love for others is headed for eternal death. Anyone who hates his Christian brother is really a murderer at heart; and you know that no one wanting to murder has eternal life within.” Beloved, let us examine ourselves today and see if we are walking in the light or are actually in darkness; measuring this by the love we have for one another.

Scripture for meditation
“Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.” 1 Corinthians 13v4-7 (NLT)

Prayer

Father, we thank You because we know You, we can love our brethren; for one who does not love, does not know You. But we know You and we can love and for this we are grateful in Jesus name, amen.
