Blessed

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm!” Ephesians 1v3 (AMP)

One of the things that God does for His children is to bless them. I have heard a blessing referred to as being empowered to succeed. This would be as opposed to a curse where seemingly stumbling blocks are placed in a person’s part. From the time God created man, He blessed them. Genesis 2v26-28 (KJV) says “And God said, Let Us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” We find however that after Adam and Eve sinned, Eve being deceived of the serpent, that God cursed the serpent, and He cursed the ground: “And unto Adam He said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life: Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Genesis 3v17-19, KJV). But we find that God did not curse the man or woman themselves. Through these verses though, we find that God takes obedience very seriously; for sin indeed is doing that which displeases God. From Ephesians 1v3 above, we find that in Christ Jesus, God has blessed us with all spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm, given to us by the Holy Spirit; and so we find we can experience joy, peace, love, patience, hope, long-suffering, power, anointing, victory and many more things even in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for this day and for every blessing which You have blessed us with. We pray for the grace to obey You always in Jesus name, amen.
