You are not an accident (2)!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
Long ago, even before He made the world, God chose us to be His very own through what Christ would do for us; He decided then to make us holy in His eyes, without a single fault—we who stand before Him covered with His love. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family by sending Jesus Christ to die for us. And He did this because He wanted to!” Ephesians 1v4-5 (NLT)

Today’s brief exhortation is an encouragement that you are loved by God; He loves you and He wants you for His own. The text above lets us know that God’s plan all along was to adopt us into His family, because He wanted to. John 1v10-13 (AMP) says “He came into the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him]. He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own—His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him. But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name— Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]” Amen. As many as receive Christ become born of God, not of the will of any other person, but of God. And so beloved, as Jude 1v21 (KJV) says, “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your Word and for this day. We thank You because of Your faithfulness and Your grace. We thank You for Your love for us and for Your great plan of salvation. Thank You for adopting us into the family of God. Blessed be Your holy name. We pray Father that we will indeed keep ourselves in the love of God as we wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring us to eternal life, and we will continue to be responsive to, controlled by and led by Your Holy Spirit in Jesus name, amen.
