Meditate on the Word

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Happy New Month. We thank God for His goodness, His faithfulness and for seeing us through to yet another month. I pray this month will be a blessed one for you and yours in Jesus name, amen.

Primary Text
“And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear. For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away [by force],” Mark 4v24-25 (AMP)

Beloved, day after day, minute after minute, we hear things. The question though is what are you listening to? What are you permitting to enter into your ears? What are you listening to? One thing that is profitable to listen to is the Word of God. Are you listening to the Word of God? How are you listening to the Word of God? The verses above tell us that the way we listen to the Word of God will determine what we will gain out of it. Paul charged Timothy in 1 Timothy 4v13-16 (KJV) saying “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt save thyself, and them that hear thee.” Meditate upon these things, give thyself wholly to them, that thy profiting may appear to all. Our Lord Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” What are you listening to? How are you listening to it?

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word this day. We thank You for the profiting to be had from meditating upon them. We pray that we will listen to the right things. We pray that we will be given ears that hear o Lord in Jesus name, amen.

For meditation
And He said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.” Mark 4v24-25 (KJV)

And be sure to put into practice what you hear. The more you do this, the more you will understand what I tell you. To him who has shall be given; from him who has not shall be taken away even what he has.” Mark 4v24-25 (TLB)

Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.” Luke 8v18 (KJV)

“Be careful therefore how you listen. For to him who has [spiritual knowledge] will more be given; and from him who does not have [spiritual knowledge], even what he thinks and guesses and supposes that he has will be taken away.” Luke 8v18 (AMP)
