He speaks life to dead situations
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Fear
not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in
terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to
difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with
My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.” Isaiah 41v10 (AMP)
Beloved,
fear not. It doesn’t matter what situation you are going through or what is
happening, fear not. Why? Because God is with you. There was once a leader of
the local synagogue called Jarius. His little daughter was ill and dying. He
came to meet Jesus to come and lay His hands on her. Hmm. You can imagine the kind
of pain he must have been going through, the hopelessness he must have felt.
And then he saw Jesus. Thank God. And Jesus agreed to come with him. On the
way, Jesus was “distracted” by the woman with the issue of blood who touched
Him and was healed. He had a conversation with her. Now, Jarius on a normal day
might have been happy for her, but today, he might have been thinking, Lord,
hurry up, my daughter is dying. I don’t know how many of you have felt that
Jesus is distracted or not attending to you as you would want Him to. Lo and
behold, some people came from his house with this message – “Your daughter has
died. Why bother and distress the Teacher any further?” (Mark 5v35, AMP). He
must have felt awful, sad, down, not known what to do. How many of you have
received disheartening, discouraging, depressing news before? Mark 5v36 says:
KJV:
“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith unto the ruler of
the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”
NIV:
“Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
TLB:
“But Jesus ignored their comments and said to Jarius, “Don’t be afraid. Just
trust Me.”
AMP:
“Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the
synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, only keep on
believing.”
Jesus
is saying to someone today – don’t fear, forget and ignore the comments, the
snickering – keep on believing. I am with you. Jesus went on to raise the young
lady from the dead. Even the wind and the sea obey our God. Even dead
situations obey Him. Beloved, it doesn’t matter if that situation looks dead,
dead, dead – Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life (John 11v25) and He is
telling you, don’t be afraid, only keep on believing.
Prayer
Father,
I thank You for Your Word this day. Thank You for You are with me and it
doesn’t matter what a situation might look like, because You are with me, all
is well. Blessed be Your name forevermore in Jesus name, amen.
