In Every Thing
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but
in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite
requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And
God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its
salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content
with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all
understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in
Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6-7 (AMP)
God will not have His children to be anxious. Synonyms
for anxious include nervous, worried, concerned, uneasy, apprehensive, restless,
fretful, frightened, fearful and eager. He has made a way for us to deal with
every form of anxiety, which is to speak to Him about it. The Living Bible
version of Philippians 4v6-7 says “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray
about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His
answers.” It also speaks of the result of doing this saying “If you do this,
you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human
mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet
and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.” Indeed Isaiah 26v3-4 (ESV) tells us
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts
in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.” Basically,
in every thing and in every circumstance, make the Almighty God your go to
person for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5v7 (AMP) says “Casting the whole of your
care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for
all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you
watchfully” while Psalm 55v22 (AMP) tells us “Cast your burden on the Lord
[releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the
[consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).” When
situations come, give Him the weight of the burden and have the confident
assurance that you will not be made to slip, to fall or to fail – regardless of
how fierce the storms seem to be raging, for indeed we walk by faith and not by
sight!. Is there anything that is causing you to be anxious today? Why don’t
you take it to the Lord in prayer and don’t forget to thank Him for the
answers.
Prayer
Our Father and our God, we thank You for Your Word. We
thank You because we can come to You in every thing. We thank You because You
hear us when we call, You care for us and You will not let us to fail, to fall
or to stumble. Blessed be Your holy name o God. We are truly grateful for all
that You do and continue to do. We pray this in Jesus name, amen.
