A different perspective
Hello
everyone,
How are
you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We bless God for
all that He is doing in our lives. We thank God that we walk by faith and not
by sight (2 Corinthians 5v7). Sometimes, we need to take a different
perspective and look at things. The Bible tells us that God does not see as man
sees, for man looks at the appearance but God looks at the heart. We know too
that:
Primary
Text
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are
your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the
earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your
thoughts.” Isaiah 55v8-9 (KJV)
However, as we begin to become more acquainted with
the Lord and with His Word, see His ways and His acts in action, we can begin
to see things through His perspective. I was listening to a message, and the
Pastor was speaking along the lines that when Jesus was on the Cross, from the
disciples point of view, it could seem that their whole world was turning
upside down, some may have been feeling bad for not staying with him, their
Master was on the cross, the future looked bleak and all. But Jesus did not come
down from the Cross to comfort them, neither did He stop the soldiers from
beating Him. Now the Bible records – “And when Jesus had cried out again in a
loud voice, He gave up His spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was
torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs
broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy
city and appeared to many people.” (Matthew 27v50-53, NIV). Now these were
things that happened then and were visible. But so much more happened in the
spiritual, the effects of which endure for all eternity. Now we have
everlasting life, a relationship with God, a promise of spending eternity with
Him. Hallelujah. This is just an encouragement that when things do not seem to
be going the way you would like it to. God is still in control and He has a
plan, a wonderful, great, magnificent plan. Trust in Him, rely on Him, depend
on Him.
Supplementary
Text:
“Oh, the depth of the riches and
wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are
His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable)
are His ways (His methods, His paths!).” Romans 11v33 (AMP)
Prayer
Father,
I thank You for Your Word. Help me to know You more, to see more of the way You
act and think, and feel and perceive in Jesus name, amen.
