The Keeper of the Vineyard

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“In that day sing ye unto her, a vineyard of red wine. I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.” Isaiah 27v2-3 (KJV)

John 15 talks about Jesus being the Vine, we the branches and the Father the Vine Dresser. In the text we read above, we see a similar illustration of God being the Keeper of the vineyard of red wine. One of the significant needs of a vineyard is water. As the Keeper of the Vineyard, as our Keeper, God is saying that He is providing our every need. Every thing that we need, every moment of the day He is keeping it. For one to be watering a vineyard, it means that person is very close to the vineyard, and keeping constant care over it. A vineyard also needs a special type of watering. God is able to meet the special needs of each of His children. The other thing we are told is that God keeps the vineyard night and day, lest any hurt it. As the Psalmist says, “The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand [the side not carrying a shield]. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore” (Psalm 121v1-5, AMP). Beloved, know that God is your keeper, He is watching over you, He cares for you.

Supplementary Text
In that day [it will be said of the redeemed nation of Israel], A vineyard beloved and lovely; sing a responsive song to it and about it! I, the Lord, am its Keeper; I water it every moment; lest anyone harm it, I guard and keep it night and day.” (Isaiah 27v1-2, AMP)

Prayer

Father, we thank You so much for this day. We thank You for Your many blessings. Thank You because You are our Keeper. Thank You because You are watering us every moment, giving us what we need. We thank You for protecting us so that none will hurt us. We are so very grateful. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore, in Jesus name, amen.
