Don't be weary
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this
day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. One of the fruit of the Spirit, is
goodness. The Bible tells us that:
Primary Text:
“And let us not lose heart
and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and
at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our
courage and faith. So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us
do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them,
but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to
be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong
to God’s family with you, the believers].” Galatians 6v9-10 (AMP)
We can be good and be a
blessing, with material things, things of the spirit, or even of the soul. We
can lend a helping hand, or give of things we have. Or we can pray for someone
and bring a word of cheer. Sometimes, all a person needs is a word of
encouragement, a friend, a smile. You have something to offer. The Bible tells
us that “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2v10). I
pray that the good works God wants us to do, we will do them in Jesus name,
amen. Sometimes, we may not even feel like it, other times, we may not be aware
that we are being a blessing. But remember, it is God who works in us, both to
will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2v13). God is good, and His
mercies endure forever, we are children of God, our lives are hid in Christ and
Christ in God. Let God’s love shine through you.
Supplementary Text
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5v16 (KJV)
Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your
Word and for Your Spirit. Holy Spirit, help me to walk in love, to do good
deeds, to persevere in doing what is good, and may God be glorified in my life
in Jesus name, amen.
