My Mind is Stayed on You
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord. Do you find yourself getting anxious, worried, uncertain
e.t.c. Isaiah 26v3 says:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind
is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in Thee.” (King James Version)
“He will keep in perfect peace all those who
trust in Him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!” (The Living Bible)
“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its
character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on
You, and hopes
confidently in You.” (Classic Amplified Version)
One finds that at the heart of fear is a sense of
distrust and unbelief. Beloved, have you found an area in which you are worried
and do not have any peace? It’s time to get your mind back on the Lord, to keep
your mind stayed on Him, to incline yourself to Him and ask what does the Lord
say about this situation? What is the Lord saying to me? I find just taking
some minutes to ponder on the Word of God, brings tremendous peace and rest.
Also, it is time to ask and question distrust as
a cause for fear or lack of peace. Do you trust the Lord? Do you believe in His
plans for you? Do you doubt His love for you or ability to meet you where you
are at? Maybe that’s why you are not at peace. It’s time to really take God at
His Word. Of Abraham it was said that “But Abraham never doubted. He believed
God, for his faith and trust grew ever stronger, and he praised God for this
blessing even before it happened. He was completely sure that God was well
able to do anything He promised.” (Romans 4v20-21, The Living Bible).
Hallelujah.
Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word. Father, help
me to keep my mind stayed on You constantly, and to trust in You always. Thank
You for the peace that comes from doing this in Jesus name, amen.
