The Stability of Faith
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord. This morning I read about the stability of faith. While
many may think that faith is something uncertain, unsure, that you just hope
for something to happen, it really is not the case. Why not? Because at the
heart of faith, and the foundation of faith is the Word of God; and the Word of
God doesn’t change. It remains the same.
Matthew 24v35, Luke 21v33 and Mark 13v31 bear
account to the fact that heaven and earth will pass away, but God’s Word will
not pass away, and will remain forever true. Numbers 23v19 (Classic Amplified
Version) tells us “God is not a man, that He should tell or act
a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction
[for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He
spoken and shall He not make it good?” John 17v17 (NIV) says “Sanctify them by
Your truth; Your Word is truth.”
God’s Word is truth, that means it is not a lie
and should be believed. What has God said about your situation. That is what
you need to hold onto, occupy yourself with and have it as a settled
conviction. You need to take the attitude of “God said it, I believe it and
that settles it.” It doesn’t matter what others say, or circumstances say, or
what you think and feel, hold onto the Word of God. But the first stage is to
get acquainted with the Word. Dig deep and may the Lord open the eyes of your
understanding to behold wondrous things out of His Word in Jesus name, amen.
Prayer
Our Father and our God we thank You so much for
this day. We thank You for Your lovingkindness and Your tendermercies. Thank
You for Your Word that is true. Father, give us a deep and sincere desire for
Your Word. Help us to hold on fast to it, meditate it and be occupied with it.
Let the truth of Your Word extinguish every lie in Jesus name, amen. We love
You and appreciate You in Jesus name, amen.
