The Living Word

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. I want the Word of God to be real, to be active, and to feel the potency of it. Hebrews 4v12-13 (New Living Translation) says “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable.”

God’s Word is alive and it is living, and it is powerful. Jesus is the Word of God and He is the Word of Life, in Him is light and the light is the life of men. 1 John 1v1-3 (Classic Amplified Bible) says “[We are writing] about the Word of Life [in] Him Who existed from the beginning, Whom we have heard, Whom we have seen with our [own] eyes, Whom we have gazed upon [for ourselves] and have touched with our [own] hands. And the Life [an aspect of His being] was revealed (made manifest, demonstrated), and we saw [as eyewitnesses] and are testifying to and declare to you the Life, the eternal Life [in Him] Who already existed with the Father and Who [actually] was made visible (was revealed) to us [His followers]. What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah).”

God desires our fellowship. One distinguishing mark of Christians is that we have eternal life. “And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.” (John 17v3, New Living Translation). One way we know the Lord is by reading and meditating on His Word. May His Word become alive to us and real to us in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer
Father, I thank You for the eternal life that You have given to us. Thank You for that fellowship we have with the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Lord we pray, as we read Your written Word, let it become alive and real to us in Jesus name, amen. Let there be illumination o God, in Jesus name, amen.

Perhaps you do not have this eternal life; you do not have fellowship with the Father and the Son, and do not have the Holy Spirit in you and with you. God desires a relationship with you dear one. Because of sin, man was separated from Him, and He sent Jesus to die as a sacrifice for that sin. But you have to accept that indeed you are a sinner and that you want Jesus to be your Saviour, the One who rescues you. If you want to do that, you can say this prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to You today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and need a Saviour. I want to be Your own. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and accept Him as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You for accepting me as Your own. In Jesus name, amen.
