Remember your Creator

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His goodness and His mercies. The Dakes Reference Bible put a commentary on the side about ten things God commands to remember. One of which was God. Remember that it is God who gives the power to get wealth, and to be successful. When you get to a good land, a promised land, do not forget God. We are also encouraged in Ecclesiastes 12v1 to remember “your Creator.”

“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;” Ecclesiastes 12v1 (KJV)
“REMEMBER [earnestly] also your Creator [that you are not your own, but His property now] in the days of your youth, before the evil days come or the years draw near when you will say [of physical pleasures], I have no enjoyment in them--.” Ecclesiastes 12v1 (AMP)
I wonder why we are told to remember our Creator in the days of our youth. What are the things that usually happen in one’s youth? The latter part of Ecclesiastes 12 talks about remembering God in the days of our youth, before the evil days draw near … There are some that will say they want to enjoy their youth now, and later they will serve God. Hmm. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? If you are already serving the Lord now and are a youth, hold on to Him. Remember you are His, He made us.

“Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103v5
‘Rejoice, O young man, in your adolescence, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your [full-grown] youth. And walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes, but know for all these things God will bring you into judgment.” Ecclesiastes 11v9 (AMP)
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timohty 4v12
“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2v22

Father in Jesus name, cause me and my children to remember You are our Creator in Jesus name, amen.
