Remember your Leaders

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His goodness and His mercies. Another thing we are encouraged to remember in the Bible, are our leaders, those who taught us the Word of God. We should consider the way they live/lived their lives, how they depended totally on God, and their conviction in His existence. When you do that, you are also encouraged. When you think of how they through difficult times and trials stayed strong, and how God finally manifested His glory, you are encouraged to hang on. Remember them and imitate them.

Primary Text: Hebrews 13:7
“Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.” Hebrews 13v7 (KJV)

“Remember your leaders and superiors in authority [for it was they] who brought to you the Word of God. Observe attentively and consider their manner of living (the outcome of their well-spent lives) and imitate their faith (their conviction that God exists and is the Creator and Ruler of all things, the Provider and Bestower of eternal salvation through Christ, and their leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness.” Hebrews 13v7 (AMP)

“Remember your leaders who taught God’s message to you. Remember how they lived and died, and copy their faith.” Hebrews 13v7 (NCV)

“Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.” Hebrews 13v7 (NLT)

Supplementary Texts
“Obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them [continually recognizing their authority over you], for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have to render an account [of their trust]. [Do your part to] let them do this with gladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable to you [either].” Hebrews 13v7 (AMP)

“We do not want you to become lazy, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” Hebrews 6v12 (NIV, 2010)

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” Hebrews 12v1-3 (KJV)

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your mercy and Your grace, and I thank You for the spiritual leaders You have put over me. I pray You continue to grant them the grace to run this race with joy, that haven put their hands to the plough, they would not look back in Jesus name, amen.
